Location/Getting there:

The house is easily accessible with airports at Angouleme (50 mins), Bergerac (1 hour) and  Bordeaux (1.5 hours) and Limoges (2 hours).  Serviced by Ryannair, Easyjet, Flybe, BMI Baby and British Airways.

 By car ferry the journey is around 5 hours from Caen or 7 hours from Calais.  The TGV stops at Angouleme.

Nearby places of interest:

The area is rich in history and is famous for its foie gras and world class wines.  Within easy reach is Brantome (the 'Venice' of the Dordogne); the wine town of St Emilion; historic Aubeterre and excellent shopping in the picturesque settings of Angouleme and Perigueux.

Sports and Activities:

A full range of local sports, music school, theatre groups, art and dance classes and riding are available locally.  Skiing in the Massiv Central (2.5 hours drive) or the Pyrenees (4 hours drive).
